Biography:
Prof. Michal Kramer, head of uveitis service at Rabin Medical Center, and clinical associate professor at the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv.
Graduated from Hadassah Medical School, Hebrew university, Jerusalem, and completed residency in the Department of Ophthalmology at Rabin Medical Center; Research fellowship in retinal diseases at MEEI, Boston, USA, and further training in Uveitis at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, UK. Prof. Michal Kramer is fully engaged in clinical practice of uveitis, treating both adults and children. Her main research interest includes genetic and epigenetic changes in uveitis patients, multimodal imaging in uveitis, and clinical research in uveitis, including international clinical trials.
Prof. Michal Kramer had co-founded the Israeli Uveitis Society, and served as its first chair-person (2009-2014). Currently, an active member in the International Uveitis Study Group (IUSG); the International Ocular Inflammation Society (IOIS); the American Uveitis Society (AUS); the Collaborative Ocular Tuberculosis Study (COTS) group, and the Standardization of Uveitis Nomenclature (SUN) Working Group.
