Prof. Vishali Gupta is an accomplished vitreo-retina and uvea expert of international repute working at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Chandigarh-India. She has a keen interest in the inflammation and infections of the eye and has a lot of original work on intra-ocular tuberculosis, fungal infections and diabetic retinopathy. She is a sought after speaker and has delivered more than 1000 invited lectures and conducted several instruction courses at various international and national meetings. She has more than 190 publications in peer-reviewed journals; has edited four books and contributed 62 book chapters in textbooks. She is the current President of the International Uveitis Study Group (IUSG) and member of American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), Club Jules Gonin and The Macula Society. She has received several named awards and also holds a US patent for multiplex PCR. She has more than 350 publications with h-index of 64.
