Biography:
Obtained the Masters in Surgery ( Ophthalmology) in 2005 from National University of Malaysia. Underwent local training in Uveitis and Medical Retina and then a uveitis fellowship in Moorfields Eye Hospital London under Prof Susan Lightman in 2010-2011. Upon completion, served at Hospital Selayang and Hospital Shah Alam, main national tertiary referral centres for medical retina and uveitis. Involved in the management of a variety of medical retina and uveitis patients receiving referrals and providing outreach services all over Malaysia. Have given lectures locally and internationally to ophthalmologists on uveitis and medical retina-related topics. Have publications, presented posters and oral presentations in local and international conferences.. Was involved with the Everest 2 PCV trial as a Co-Investigator. Also conducted local research on Ocular Tuberculosis in Malaysia and on-going study on pattern of uveitis in Malaysia. Organised the Indo-China Ocular Inflammation Study Group Meeting in Kuala Lumpur in 2017.
