Xu Yanwu, PhD, is a Tenured Professor at South China University of Technology and former Chief Scientist of Baidu Healthcare. He is a WHO Digital Health Expert, adjunct PI at the Singapore Eye Research Institute, and an IEEE Senior Member. Prof. Xu has published 160+ papers with 12,500+ Google Scholar citations (H-index 50) and has been listed for four consecutive years among Stanford’s “Top 2% Scientists Worldwide.” He has led research projects with total funding exceeding 100 million RMB in China and Singapore. He also led the approval of China’s first Class III multi-disease AI medical device (and first glaucoma Class III), recognized as a “Top 10 Progress in Chinese Ophthalmology (2021).”
