Biography:
Dr Lilian Koh is a Consultant at the Department of Ophthalmology, Woodlands Health Campus and National Healthcare Group Eye Institute. Dr Lilian completed her undergraduate medical training at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (YLLSOM), National University of Singapore (NUS) and obtained her Masters of Medicine (Ophthalmology). In 2012, she was awarded the Ministry of Health Holdings Training Award. In 2017, she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. She successfully completed her Ophthalmology specialist exit exams where she was awarded the Gold Medal for being the Best Candidate in the Cataract and Comprehensive station. Dr Lilian served as both deputy chief resident and chief senior resident during her training and has completed the ACGME-I Chief Resident Training Programme. She currently serves as a Clinical Lecturer with YYLLSOM, NUS, and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. Dr Lilian's areas of clinical interest include medical retina, uveitis, ocular immunology & inflammation, cataracts and general ophthalmology. She is active in clinical research and has presented in many ophthalmology conferences both locally and internationally. Dr Lilian is interested in the vast potential of technology in improving clinical care both in day-to-day work and at a macro level. She is currently serves as the Outpatient Lead for clinical informatics in WHC, and is also involved in the national effort for the implementation of the new electronic medical record (Epic) which will roll out in phases between 2020-2023 in the majority of hospitals and primary care clinics in Singapore.
