Dr. Cristhian A. Urzua, an accomplished ophthalmologist and researcher, has carved a niche in the treatment and study of ocular immunology, medical retina, and uveitis. Educated at Pontificia Universidad Católica and Universidad de Chile, where he also earned a Master’s in Immunology, Dr. Urzua has significantly contributed to his field through both clinical practice and research. Serving as an ophthalmologist at Clínica Alemana de Santiago and leading the Laboratory of Autoimmune Ocular and Systemic Diseases, he embodies a commitment to advancing ophthalmic knowledge and patient care. His academic role as an Associate Professor and international training, including fellowships at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Bristol Eye Hospital, highlight his dedication to excellence and innovation in ophthalmology.
